Good morning, friends! This morning’s workout was a really good one. I think I’m realizing that in 4 days I’ll be in a bikini, so it’s time to get serious. Not like 4 days is enough time to actually make any changes, but it’s a nice thought.
I got up at 4:30 to get to the gym right at opening time, then hopped on a treadmill. I quickly worked up the intensity during my run and did a few minutes of sprinting at the end, finishing at 25 minutes. After my run, I grabbed a medicine ball to complete my 300 reps ab workout.
This workout is one of my favorites and I find myself doing it at the gym a lot. Using a heavy medicine ball is key and helps make sure you’re nice and sweaty afterwards.
Once I got home, I decided a smoothie sounded perfect, so I made this lovely banana cream smoothie:
I used Nutzo butter in mine and it was delicious! My stomach is not happy with my choice of dinner last night, so I needed some healthiness in my tummy today.
Riley’s a great cook, but he’s not always a healthy cook. Last night he made roasted potatoes and hot sausage, which was fine except it was super fatty and there was a bit too much oil on the potatoes. I ate it anyway, though, cause I was hungry. I will be cooking vegetables tonight in response.
I’m keeping it short and sweet today since I have to run, but have a great day!
Does your significant other cook? Are they a healthy cook?
Ha Ha Ha! I’m laughing because I made overnight Banana Cream oats w/ Banana Cream Greek Yogurt. You use Dannons too? š š
haha I love it. Yep- Dannons!
Haha I love that you are going to make veggies in response to the oil, lol. I agree that once you don’t eat all that fatty stuff, eating it again makes my stomach hurt! Great job on the workout, I am going to use the core workout!
Gotta balance it all out somehow! Let me know if you like the workout!
Yum this smoothie looks like a great one!!
I think I always panic close to wearing a bathing suit but with not enough time to change it š
I’ve had to train Nick when he cooks to use less oil but it doesn’t always work. I tend to do more cooking because I cook healthier š
I know, I always think there’s plenty of time to deal with the bathing suit situation, but next thing I know it’s beach time, so oh well. Self tanner to the rescue! haha
Thanks for the workout! Now that I work from home I am trying to find quick workouts to do for a little break from my desk and this one will be perfect!
It’s a good one, nice and quick!
You just go on and rock these last four days of workouts. It is, after-all, half about confidence. Get it girl! š
right? haha and a little self tanner helps with the rest š
C cannot cook for his life! He would say otherwise but the one time I let him cook a meal it sucked. I think he got overwhelmed by the spice cupboard and just gave up lol. We leave the cooking to me but as a result he has to suffer constant healthy cooking!
Haha can’t win them all, at least now you have total control of the kitchen!
My husband does most of our cooking-and he’s not super healthy about it. Now that he’s back in school, I’m doing a lot of our cooking-and I’ve lost about 5 pounds!
Man, I’m thinking I need to do a kitchen takeover now. Way to go with 5 pounds!
Would you believe that I have never put nut butter in my smoothies – I am going to have to change that ASAP.
Never? Oooh you don’t know what your missing. PB, chocolate protein powder and a banana is the best combo ever.
Mhmm great combination of flavors! I love using yogurt to give smoothies some extra calcium/protein and creaminess, but have never used banana flavored before! Thanks for the inspiration š
Anytime! I love the flavored yogurts to give things a little extra!
New reader over here! I am so glad I found your blog! I love the ab workout; I will be giving that a try! Haha my husband doesn’t usually cook at our house, but when he does it’s usually not healthy. š He would probably say his specialty is queso. š
Hey, thanks for stopping by! Now you’ve got me craving queso, haha, not a bad specialty to have!
Haha my boyfriend doesn’t cook, period. I’ve never put nut butter in a smoothie but it sounds amazing! I love banana smoothies so much so I bet that just takes it to a whole other level
My all-time favorite smoothie combo is PB, a banana, and some chocolate protein powder!
